Reed-Turner Woodland Photographic Project - Fog
The shroud of fog can surround and inundate the landscape, altering our ability to see, but in a positive way. Fog will soften a background so that details of an object in the foreground, a tree or a leaf, will take on a completely different look and feel. A branch that may have been lost against a backdrop of the pond’s shoreline, suddenly becomes clear, standing out against this curtain of moisture.

Fog is also a mood. It absorbs sounds and light, muting the air and creating a sense of tranquil intimacy. The fog embraces me as the world outside melts away and the path that lies before me seems to be mine alone.
